Benjamin Moore announces 2019 Color of the Year + 15-Color Palette
Hey, hey, hey, color lovers worldwide!
It’s your color girl Lauren here. I extend sincerest apologies for delaying in the regular blog posts, but things have been very busy in my color world. For starters, Benjamin Moore has announced their 2019 Color of the Year, METROPOLITAN AF-690. At first glance, maybe it looks like a drab gray, but think again. Metropolitan serves as a beautiful backdrop for loads of other colorful accents and paint color options. I really love it myself! I was also happy to see a warm brown in the selection of Kona this season.
If you look at the 15-color palette designated by Benjamin Moore, you’ll note an abundance of neutrals and greens. I love that we have soft greens, a slightly bold green and then a deep forest green. Good old faithful Hale Navy made the cut, and I have to say that I specify that color a lot for doors and cabinets. Decorator’s White is super strong, and I like it, as well, as a “clean” color to pair with other vivid hues.
I want to show some examples of how these colors work in different spaces, and thanks predominantly to Benjamin Moore on Pinterest, I am able to! I did find a few other great examples on other sites, and photo credit is listed in those cases. Check these out:
I want to personally invite anyone here in Houston who is interested to attend our 2019 Benjamin Moore COLOR OF THE YEAR Launch Party at the Decorative Center on Woodway and Sage. It will be held on November 1st and does require an RSVP.
To attend, please email me directly at lauren@lfbcolor.com. At that point, I will give you more details and put your name on the attendees list.
Have a great rest of your week, color lovers!!
Lauren
