LFB Color in REAL SIMPLE magazine

Friends and color family worldwide:

Good afternoon! Let’s jump straight to my big news; that is, LFB Color and I are featured in the June 2021 issue of REAL SIMPLE magazine.

REAL SIMPLE magazine reaches almost 9 million subscribers monthly and has an Instagram audience of nearly 2 million followers. The publication caters to busy women looking for practical home, life, health, cooking and career tips.

One of the magazine’s contributing writers, Jenny Comita, reached out to me several months ago. She was beginning a piece on three women who run different types of color centric businesses.

Being featured in such a prominent, well-respected publication is a true honor and privilege and JOY for me as a small business owner. I have worked in some area of color consulting for over 15 years, and this is the first time that my business has been highlighted on a nationwide and worldwide level.

I was interviewed about how beginnings in color, my earliest influences being born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, and of course in what areas of color consulting I specialize.

Jenny had me share one tip I have learned as a female entrepreneur, titling this part, TAKE IT FROM ME.

Here’s what I had to say:

“As the CEO of my small company, I respect both the client’s and my time—so I don’t request meetings or phone calls unless I have something unique and valuable to offer, and can clearly and concisely articulate it.”

This is a rule I have lived by since becoming an entrepreneur almost 16 years ago! Here is my part of the article for your reading enjoyment:

I want to publicly thank REAL SIMPLE magazine and their editorial team for this prominent feature. What a career highlight for me! I’m overjoyed to share my news with you, readers.

Make it a colorful weekend,

Lauren
