My favorite floral wallpapers: Go big or go home!
When considering floral wallpaper, why not go bold and big? Today I’m featuring SEVEN wallpapers that are bodacious, colorful, and creative—a trifecta in the design world as far as I’m concerned.
Good afternoon, colorful friends of the blogosphere!
I hope that this finds you well and enjoying the day wherever you may find yourselves. Speaking of that, from where are you reading my blog today? Please comment below. I’d love to know!
Let’s dig right in, folks. I picked SEVEN bold floral wallpapers for you to consider. You know that I find 99% of my inspiration on Pinterest these days, and sources and links to all images are included below each photo. Here is a link to today’s entire Pinterest album, though, entitled My Favorite Wallpapers 2022.
The appeal here for me with the above wallpaper is the gold lines and blend of navy and teal. I would decorate the rest of this space in lots of bright gold and black hardware to accentuate the gold in the wallpaper.
The artist in me is enchanted by the watercolor effect, semi-transparency, layers of the floral arrangement, and then the energetic color palette. This wallpaper design series by Carol Robinson is stunning. Yellow brightens a home instantly and is timeless in appeal.
Many clients want a dark or even black accent wall in their homes, but more often than not their architecture and furnishings don’t really allow it. Here is a fabulous, opulent, refined way to bring drama and depth to any space. This dark palette and pattern are classic enough to go the “design distance.”
Houston, Texas based lifestyle and decor blogger Joy Green designed this small space. Isn’t it fabulous? Let’s dissect it. The white marble with grey veining on counters and floors contrasts just enough against the pale blue cabinets and trim. The gold hardware warms and refines the space entirely, and of course the star of the show is the colorful peach, coral, aqua and teal wallpaper. What a beautifully designed space by Joy Green.
I suppose that I’m on some dark wallpaper tangent. What a gorgeous and rich option for any living space we have here! Couldn’t you see this in a dining room, living room, or even a study? I love the multidimensional quality of it with its color variations, combination of curves and lines, and gentle but impacting color contrast. Wallpaper win!
Carol Robinson does it again with a calming watercolor floral wallpaper design. This color palette is so feminine and playful. Where would you use it?
You know that LFB Color loves our local design and materials colleagues here in Houston, yes? Well, I had the privilege of meeting one such designer, the designer of this seventh wallpaper. Anna Marie Sandberg of ANNA MARIE Custom Wallcoverings and I met at a Benjamin Moore continuing education event at the Debner showroom. She had created a Benjamin Moore paint color palette to accompany her own original wallpaper patterns, immediately solidifying her in my mind as a true creative genius!
This wallpaper combines two of my favorite motifs: birds and florals. Double win! The pattern and colorway are not for the design timid, now are they? Guess what? The print is also part of Anna Marie’s most recent fabric collaboration with Fabric House. As I said, I’m a huge fan of her work!
Which wallpaper is your favorite? Which is your least favorite? Where would you place your favorite wallpaper in your own space? Let me know in the comments or send me an email. You know I’d love to hear from you!
Until next time, stay colorful!
XOXO,
Lauren
